Who may enrol

A parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over enrols the student and is responsible for the enrolment agreement, including tuition. A student may not enrol themselves. We may decline an application, and we will say why.

Placement

Placement is decided by the school using the most recent school report and a short check in English and mathematics. We may place a student in a different grade from the one requested; if the family does not accept that placement, no tuition is due and the application ends.

Tuition and payment

• Tuition is per student, per school year: $1,499 for kindergarten and $500 more for each grade above it, to $7,499 in grade 12.
• It is payable in full, or in three instalments, one before each term.
• A place is confirmed when the first payment is received. Joining mid-year is charged from the term the student starts.
• Tuition covers live classes, teaching materials and the parent portal. Books for the year are listed in the enrolment pack and are not included.
• Card payments are taken by our payment processor on a secure page. We never see or store your full card number.
• If an instalment is unpaid we will contact you before anything changes. A place may be suspended after 14 days of non-payment.

Attendance and conduct

• Students are expected to attend live classes, on time, and to submit set work. We record attendance and report it to parents.
• Classes are a shared space: we expect courtesy toward teachers and classmates. Harassment, abusive language or disrupting lessons can end a place, and repeated conduct issues will, after we have spoken to the family.
• A parent or guardian is responsible for the student during the school day, for supervision appropriate to the child's age, and for the equipment and internet connection used at home.
• Teaching materials are for the enrolled student's use. They may not be shared publicly, resold, or used to train a machine learning system.

What we provide, and what we do not

Pioneer Academy is not an accredited school. We are working toward accreditation and will publish the outcome. Report cards and transcripts are school-issued, so please confirm with your district, school or college that they will accept them.

We do not guarantee a particular grade, test score or admission to any school, college or programme. We are not a special education provider and do not issue statutory education plans, and we do not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic services.

Cancellation

See the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Either side may end an enrolment: a family by writing to admissions, and the school for non-payment or for conduct, having first raised it with the family.

Liability and law

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability to a family is limited to the tuition paid for the current school year. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
